Dr Seuss Words of Wisdom infographic

We celebrated the birthday of Dr Seuss by having a readathon in the library. We have just purchased some new titles for the library so the children really enjoyed hearing some new stories. Thank you to Nicki and Mitchell for working so hard to keep the library open when the Seniors were away at swimming.

This year we are lucky to have 8 very capable Librarians. There will be 2 librarians on duty each lunchtime on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Each term we will have 2 Activities Organisers who will try to organise something each week.
Earlier this term Nicki and Hannah organised an activity where children designed new book covers for their favourite books. It was great to see how many children joined in. Thank you Mrs van der Burgh for the photos.

Today we had huge response to our "Dad's Lunch". There were Dads and Grandads everywhere you looked. We stopped counting at 60! Thank you for your wonderful support today. The children loved being able to share time with you when they were actually at school. It was a great chance for dads to see the work the children have been doing recently, to spend time reading and playing together. Keep an eye out for next weeks Midweek paper for some photos of the day. We had so many photos that we had to make 2 slideshows to share them with you. THANKS from all your children for making an effort to join us today.
